  • Absolutely! I break up each package into 2-3 payments depending on the size of the project.

  • I understand that no two businesses are alike, so yes, I can tailor the deliverables to your specific needs!

Branding FAQs

  • To be quite frank, the answer is no. But the reason is to actually help your business, not to try and be difficult or make more money from you. This is why I really emphasize the bigger picture of your business and your brand being an experience for your customers at each level of exposure, whether online or in-person. Having just a logo doesn't create a cohesive foundation for each touch point - website, social media, marketing collateral, merchandise, signage, etc. In addition to a logo design, brand identities include a color palette, typography, patterns, icons, a style of photography, and more - which all create a mood and a personality for your business.

  • A moodboard is a collage of colors, image inspiration and the overall vibe you like created from a Pinterest board and based off your questionnaire answers. This is a springboard for your project, but please note all images, fonts, colours, textures etc in the moodboard will not be part of your final design. I will use this as a direction to design your brand and ensure it is unique and authentic to your business.

  • I will need your design questionnaire returned with your business details and the 50% deposit. You must have a solid idea of your target audience, business mission, products and services, a general idea of styles you like/appeal to your target audience (or exactly what you dislike) and of course, your business name!

  • If for some reason you are still not happy after two rounds of refinement, we will continue the refinement process at my current hourly rate.

We go through an in-depth questionnaire and briefing process in the beginning to make sure we are on the same page, so 99% of the time 2 refinement rounds are plenty!

Website FAQs

  • I primarily use Squarespace and believe it is the best platform for most modern small to medium sized businesses. It is very user-friendly, has built-in security, is highly customizable and an all-in-one web platform.

  • Once your website is finished and paid in full, I will transfer ownership to you! You will be able to edit the content on your site, purchase hosting and have ownership of your own domain. I believe it’s important for the client to have control of these vital parts of their business.

I am also available to edit your website if you prefer!

  • If you pay your deposit to book your spot but then do not complete your project homework or do not commit to having your content ready to go, you will be bumped to the next available spot until all the content is ready.

  • Website hosting is a service that allows you to post your website onto the Internet - think of it like the “land” you rent for your website to live. In this case, Squarespace is your website host and you will need to purchase a hosting plan in order to launch your site. This is billed annually to your Squarespace account. We will review all of this during the design process!

  • No, I believe it’s important for the client to have control of these vital assets of their business.

For hosting, you will need to purchase a Squarespace hosting plan, we’ll go over this process when you are ready to launch your site.

You will need to purchase your own domain name and provide me with the permissions to access the account (if you do not purchase your domain through Squarespace). I recommend GoDaddy as the one of the most affordable and reliable providers who also integrate well with Squarespace.

With that said, Amanda Newman Design is not responsible for server downtime, software issues or any other compatibility issue that may arise after the launch of the site from your hosting or domain provider.

  • Yes! You’ll need to provide your brand photography before we start on our project so that your website really represents your brand and puts your key messaging front and center to increase conversions. We can also utilize stock images, but the more personal the photography, the better connection to your client.

You also need to provide the website copy. I will provide a content planner workbook to assist you in the process. Or you are more than welcome to hire a third-party copywriter.

  • You bet! I work with Squarespace and Shopify for this exact reason. Both platforms are very user-friendly and allow you to make edits as needed. There are tons of tutorials available if you need any assistance, I’ll also walk you through the basic functions upon launching!

  • Yes! I work with on the Shopify platform for more e-commerce focused websites.

  • I include basic SEO set up to optimize your website to the best of my ability in all of the website packages. If you require additional, specific or on going SEO services I would recommend getting in touch with an SEO expert who can give you specialist help.
